Entr’acte: A fine romance

April 9, 2013

Don’t come back too late, Dad said.

He didn’t say how late is too late. Why should I care anyway? He abandoned us: now he wants to worm his way back in, but he hasn’t got a clue.  As soon as the line is crossed, you find there is no line.

So I spent the night with Mark.

Well, not as such.

But we were up late together. We even lost the little brother soon after midnight – after that, just the two of us. Romantic. He’s so… I’ve never known anyone like it. He really gets me, you know?

Please leave a comment with a prompt suggestion for Chapter 9 (and beyond!)
