The meaning of Easter

Nestle are evil

Nestle are evil

Looking at all that chocolate – wrapped in tinfoil, coated in plastic, stacks upon stacks of gaudy, cartoon-character boxes – Martina wanted to puke.

Methodically, she switched the labels, marking them down.

More empty space in one of those boxes than in an atom. Less actual chocolate, too. Cheap, oily brown gunge, sweetened with sugar and milk to hide its essential emptiness.

Two for a pound. What did it cost to make them? Who did it cost? And who will even enjoy it? Really, properly enjoy it? Two for a pound! Disgusting.

She wondered how many to get for the kids.

Very interesting. They are super expensive for what they are when you think about it, but I have to admit I’m a sucker for them, especially in the sales.

Hi and welcome! Thanks for coming to read & comment. I think Martina must be a very cynical woman… 😉
